Lillain Leigh
Lillian Leigh is an Australian lawyer and a lung cancer patient advocate. She was appointed by the Federal Health Minister to Cancer Australia’s Advisory Council, and she serves on the Board of the Thoracic Oncology Group of Australasia, the Executive Committee of Cancer Voices NSW. Lillian is a Patient Advisory Board member of Rare Cancers Australia, as well as a member of the Advisory Board of Woolcock Institute’s Lung Cancer Research Network.
In 2016, she received the Patient Advocacy Award at the 17th World Conference on Lung Cancer (WCLC) in Vienna. Three years later, she was selected to be a Mentor on IASLC’s inaugural Supportive Training and Advocacy in Research and Science (STARS) program at the 20th WCLC in Barcelona. Lillian dedicates her time and energy to advocacy in the hope of a better future for all lung cancer and rare cancer patients in Australia and globally.
